Builders

If you are a successful custom home builder, your success hinges on the fact that each home you build is unique and contains features not seen in a production home.  An architect or homeowner may require the home be certified as an Energy Star home, a LEED for Homes project, or Build San Antonio Green home.  Unlike a production builder, you cannot simply change the direction of the home in the energy model to know that your home is going to meet the minimum requirements to be certified in a particular green energy program.

You require the expertise of a home performance company who will evaluate the design, generate an energy model, and advise the trades on how to reach your goal of building a unique, energy efficient home.  Involving the EcoSynergy Advisor team early on in the project, as early as site selection, can help avoid decisions which may prevent attaining an EnergStar, LEED for Homes, or HERS Index certification.

Newly adopted building codes now require home builders to comply with 2009 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC).  EcoSynergy Advisors can perform Building Envelope Air Leakage testing, HVAC/Duct Leakage testing, and verify compliance with Insulation requirements in order to close out your permit and receive your Certificate of Occupancy.
